Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential settings.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to supporting the needs of vulnerable young people. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing daily care and support to our residents, including assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. You will also be involved in planning and delivering activities that promote socialization, independence, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Assisting with planning and delivering activities that promote socialization, independence, and personal growth
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, and other stakeholders
  • Contributing to a safe and supportive living environment
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve high-quality care and support
Requirements
  • Flexibility in availability, including sleep-in nights and shift work
  • Understanding of the issues facing young people in care
  • Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team
  • DBS check at enhanced level
