Electrical Design Engineer/Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer/Manager to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for our clients in the automotive, commercial, aerospace, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including control panel wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment specifications
  • Manage the panel building department, overseeing the work of 2-3 team members
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects, managing timescales and budgets
  • Integrate machinery with robot automation solutions
  • Develop and monitor FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests)
  • Establish a standard modular approach for hardware and software control philosophy

Requirements:

  • HNC/NVQ Level 4 minimum
  • Understanding of machinery process requirements
  • Understanding of client process
  • Basic safety control knowledge
  • Knowledge of Siemens Logo PLC Software – S7 TIA knowledge advantageous
  • Flexible, honest, reliable, and professional
  • Experienced in managing own work time and workload
  • Stable working background
