Job Summary

This role is part of the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group's commitment to providing high-quality mental health services. As a Mental Health Triage Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess and triage individuals with mental health concerns, providing appropriate support and referrals as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Provide education and support to individuals, families, and caregivers on mental health topics.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and services.

Requirements

  • Hold a recognized teaching qualification at Level 3 or above or be willing to undertake.
  • GSCE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Recognized certificates/qualifications in Moving and Assisting, Basic life support, and First Aid.
  • Computer literate in a variety of MS Office products and video/audio software.
  • Able to interpret potentially conflicting situations and have the ability to make a judgement on an appropriate course of action.
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective time management.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience and understanding of legal, regulatory, and ethical frameworks.
  • Experience in assessment of learners.
  • Proven ability to challenge current working practices and introduce changes in light of evidence-based recommendations.

Additional Requirements

  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable the post holder to carry out the role effectively.
