Academics' Inclusive Learning Environment

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience of a young learner with special needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for supporting individuals with Autism and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives. Previous experience working with children with Autism is highly desirable, but not essential. What is essential is a caring and empathetic approach, coupled with excellent communication skills.

As an Autism Support Assistant at Academics, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our experienced teaching staff, therapists, and other support professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans. You will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to the child, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Autism.   • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to the child with Autism, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.

  • Assist the child with Autism in developing their social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
  • Help the child to build positive relationships with their peers and teachers.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Autism (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
