Mid Norfolk Primary Care Network (PCN) offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated pharmacy technician to become an integral part of our dynamic team, providing support to multiple GP practices and associated care facilities in the Dereham region. This is a full-time role with options for flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the clinical pharmacist at the Primary Care Network level.
- Implement medication switches in GP practices following established protocols, reviewing patient records, updating them, and communicating changes to patients.
- Conduct record maintenance focusing on dose optimization and medication synchronization.
- Enhance prescribing procedures within general practice.
- Encourage the use of electronic repeat dispensing and online ordering systems.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to showcase the value added for patients and general practice in line with NICE guidelines.
- Utilize and maintain relevant information systems and databases, including incident reporting, medication optimization, prescribing data, cost savings, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with GP practices and the Integrated Care Board (ICB).
- Engage in practice meetings, patient participation groups, and other forums to foster collaboration.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
Essential Qualifications:- Professional registration with GPhC.
- BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community, or hospital pharmacy settings.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with other clinical professionals as part of multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
- Evidence of additional qualifications and/or further study post-registration.
Mid Norfolk PCN comprises a collaborative network of GP surgeries that have worked together for several years, including:

- Toftwood Medical Centre
