About the Role

As a key member of the Institutional Operations team, you will lead a well-managed European Institutional KYC team, ensuring that all new client onboarding is completed in accordance with European AML regulations and ANZ policy. Additionally, you will represent the Institutional KYC team to European senior management, auditors, and regulators, and regularly engage with Institutional leadership across Operations, Group Capability Centres, and Markets COO functions to ensure that Europe is well-connected within the ANZ network.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure end-to-end onboarding process is followed according to ANZ policy and AML regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintain the integrity of work and data generated and report regular communication with relevant stakeholders.
  3. Apply well-managed principles to all processes within the function – team and individual performance able to be monitored, reported, and actioned proactively.
  4. Build collaborative relationships with business partners and other key stakeholders to understand global regulatory and compliance customer documentation requirements.
Requirements
  1. Knowledge of KYC/AML processes including complex ownership structures.
  2. Experience in customer servicing & stakeholder management across different businesses.
  3. Strong Leadership and people management experience.
  4. Concern for quality, standards and timelines & results focused.
  5. Self-starter – able to use existing ANZ network to build out distinct, significant program deliverables.
