About the Role
VIVID Housing is seeking a skilled Community Development Officer to join our team in a 5-year fixed term contract. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with various departments to create, implement, and deliver innovative community investment projects in the North Town area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage partnerships with community-based organizations to address pressing community issues such as mental health, public transportation, and substance misuse.
- Conduct regular progress reviews with VIVID and Rushmoor Borough Council, detailing achievements against set objectives.
- Secure external funding through grant applications and fundraising activities.
- Carry out site inspections to ensure community centers are effectively managed and comply with health and safety legislation.
Requirements
- Good awareness and understanding of the Social Housing sector, including section 106 requirements and associated funding.
- Proficiency in Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) principles and practices.
- Ability to leverage community strengths and resources for sustainable development.
- Experience in developing and leading community projects, with a strong track record of building relations with internal and external customers.
- Full current driving license with access to a vehicle.
