About the Role:
Our client, a prominent independent surfacing contractor in the UK, is on the lookout for a Credit Policy Manager to enhance their vibrant team.

Established in the early 2000s, our client has evolved into the largest independent surfacing contractor in the UK, executing projects across the nation for a diverse clientele.


Position Details:
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster robust relationships with customer quantity surveyors and accounts departments to ensure timely payment of invoices within agreed terms.
- Assess and apply for credit limits with credit insurers, ensuring adherence to current expenditure and projected work.
- Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to effectively manage credit risk.
- Maintain precise records of customer interactions related to debt recovery.
- Enhance and implement debt recovery processes for overdue invoices and initiate legal actions when necessary.
- Prepare statements and reports on high-risk accounts and inform the Finance Manager and Board as needed.

Financial Coordination:
- Work closely with the finance team to allocate cash on ledgers, generate invoices, and document cash receipts on the cash flow.

Administrative Duties:
- Handle general administrative tasks essential for credit control functions and document actions taken.

Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and capability to reconcile complex accounts.
