About the Role:

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a crucial role in the company's strategic direction and financial health. You will oversee all financial operations, lead the finance team, and provide key insights to support executive decision-making. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping the company's financial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, and identifying new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive corporate strategy and annual business plan to ensure the company achieves its objectives in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with investors and play a central role in fundraising plans.
  • Effectively manage the finance team and aid in their development.
  • Work closely with the CEO and Board to develop the strategic vision, including forecasting and cultivating stakeholder relationships.
  • Participate in and develop new business opportunities for the group.
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of adequate controls.
  • Provide the Board with an operating budget and work closely to ensure pragmatic success.
  • Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal activities for the organization, including revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
  • Monitor banking activities of the organization.
  • Oversee the production of monthly reports, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections.
  • Review and monitor the Group's tax position, calculations, and filings.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA would be advantageous.
  • Must have extensive experience in leading and developing finance functions.
  • Strong technical accounting skills are highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience of managing and developing staff.
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
