Reed Accountancy & Finance is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their client in Paddock Wood. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced professional to work in a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
  • Ensuring that financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Establishing and maintaining financial policies and management information systems, alongside recommending changes to improve systems and financial performance.
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Conducting internal audits such as wage reviews.
  • Liaising with external auditors and dealing with any financial irregularities as they arise.
  • Preparing financial reports and submissions to relevant government entities.
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is desirable.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate experience obtained from a similar Financial Accountant role, be within commutable distance to our client in Paddock Wood, and be able to work full time in our office.
