YOUR ROLE
Position Overview:
As a vital member of the LAB Public Relations and External Communications team, you will play a significant role in assisting the LAB PR & External Communications Managers and Senior Director in showcasing BCG's thought leadership and expertise to key media outlets, including print, online, broadcast, and trade.
The London-Amsterdam-Brussels (LAB) system consists of over 150 Managing Directors and Partners (MDPs) and their teams across approximately 20 Practice Areas (PAs).
Collaborating with the LAB Communications team, the broader LAB Marketing Team, and the Global Positioning and External Communications Team, you will contribute to the ongoing growth of BCG in the region by nurturing and safeguarding an exceptional brand while enhancing the effectiveness and operations of PR across LAB.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the PR & External Communications team in executing the LAB PR program, leading essential campaign components and supporting senior team members in implementation.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key journalists in alignment with the PR strategy.
  • Serve as a primary representative of the LAB PR team, providing essential updates to BCG teams globally.
  • Review global reports and curate content with PR potential within the UK and across the LAB system.
  • Coordinate with spokespeople and facilitate media interviews.
  • Address incoming media inquiries.
  • Monitor relevant issues and news on a daily basis.
  • Utilize your media expertise to communicate key updates and trends to the team.
  • Collaborate with the PR & External Communications managers on evaluations for significant announcements.
  • Lead the monitoring and reporting of PR outcomes to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the PR & External Communications team in managing agency relationships.
  • Oversee all administrative tasks, assisting the team with internal meeting coordination and status reporting.
  • Compose tailored media pitches, press releases, and commentary.
YOUR SKILLS

YOUR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with a minimum of 4+ years of B2B press experience in a professional services setting or PR agency/journalism. Experience across various sectors is highly valuable.
  • Proven track record of establishing strong relationships with target UK media.
  • A genuine desire to learn about other markets and media landscapes beyond the UK.
  • Excellent understanding of the elements of a B2B news piece, article, feature, op-ed, or by-lined commentary.
  • A sincere interest and knowledge of the UK media ecosystem and its cycles.
