FareShare is dedicated to reducing food waste and alleviating food poverty across the UK. As a Community Engagement Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the Community Food Membership (CFM) programme.
Your primary objective will be to cultivate and strengthen relationships with our partner organizations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. You will be responsible for raising awareness of FareShare's mission and services throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit new Community Food Members.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing members to ensure high retention rates.
- Conduct outreach initiatives to promote the advantages of CFM membership.
- Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager, Finance team, and Head Office.
- Meet recruitment and retention targets while producing detailed reports for stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in community engagement or similar roles.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Commitment to promoting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Level 2/3 Food Safety training (training will be provided).
- Experience with customer relationship management software.
- Degree education or substantial relevant experience.
