At Aspirations Care, we provide outstanding support services for individuals aged 18 and above who experience learning disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, and related complex needs.

We are seeking to appoint an Area Registered Manager within our Supported Living Services, tasked with leading the services effectively and ensuring that we respond to the needs of those we support in a compassionate and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the requirements for CQC registration (single or dual registration)
  • Foster a positive team culture and exemplify exceptional leadership and management practices aligned with company values
  • Deliver responsive, effective, safe, and person-centered support
  • Build strong relationships with families, commissioners, advocates, and other professionals
  • Ensure that outcomes for individuals in our services are achieved and reviewed to recognize personal growth and development
  • Guide team practices to deliver outcomes-based and person-centered services, ensuring decisions are informed by MCA/BI principles
  • Implement the outcomes identified in the Quality Governance Strategy and Support Plans as appropriate
  • Address local needs by filling service voids promptly while respecting individual preferences
  • Assist colleagues in monitoring and managing KPI data, employee retention, and absence levels
  • Promote an open culture within the team, listening to and addressing opportunities and concerns raised by team members
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality assurance and improvement processes, including quality audits and reviews
  • Maintain adherence to all contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Advocate for and deliver person-centered support, including positive risk assessment and management
  • Maintain accurate records of care delivery
  • Oversee recruitment and retention of staff to deliver effective services in line with company policy
  • Plan and implement effective rotas, ensuring accurate employee compensation
  • Provide a comprehensive induction and employee experience for all team members, embodying the values of Aspirations Care

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Management or equivalent qualification, or willingness to pursue
  • Proven managerial experience within the learning disabilities and/or mental health sector
  • Experience working within a Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT)
  • Proficient in recruiting, inducting, and training staff teams
  • Skilled in conducting disciplinary investigations and preparing reports
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements and best practices
  • Ability to support individuals in the community with appropriate risk management
  • Numerical proficiency (e.g., rotas, financial matters)
  • Capability to supervise others
  • Flexible and committed, able to participate in on-call duties
  • Honest, trustworthy, patient, and tolerant
  • Dedicated to anti-oppressive practices

Other Requirements:

  • Full clean driving license
  • DBS Check
  • Suitable references upon appointment

Financial Viability:

  • A primary responsibility of the Area Registered Manager is to ensure the service is financially viable, with staff levels aligned with commissioned hours, monitored expenditure, and limited agency use.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to explore new business opportunities and support the commissioning of new services
  • Manage service voids proactively to minimize their duration
  • Conduct thorough assessments of new referrals and submit costings as agreed

  • Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report any equipment or environmental defects
  • Follow infection control policies and ensure proper use of PPE
