Behavioural Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Behaviour Support Coordinator to join our team at Beechwood College, a specialist education service for Autistic individuals. As a Behaviour Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of truly person-centred, evidence-based approaches for all our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to person-centred plans, including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, across all areas of the college.
- Work in a support worker role, predominantly, with specific shifts devoted to clinical work, including reviewing PBS plans, conducting observations, and supporting therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with the clinical team, including the Clinical Psychologist, to promote positive change to students' lives.
- Embodiment of the clinical psychology ethos, guiding and advising staff, and promoting structured support plans.
- Interest in and commitment to the practice of clinical psychology.
- Awareness of current policy agendas relating to person-centred practice, values-based practice, and reducing restrictive interventions.
- Previous experience in working in services for people with Autism is an advantage, as is experience in working with people with a learning disability, challenging behaviour, and positive behaviour support.
- Holiday allowance of 216 hours (28.8 days) per annum, paid inclusive of bank holidays, with additional holidays for long service.
- Life Insurance paid for death in service, three times salary equivalent.
