Procurement Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Coordinator to enhance our team at Knauf UK. In this role, you will deliver efficient procurement strategies across various supplier categories, ensuring a balance between cost, quality, and service.
Key Responsibilities- Supplier Engagement: Represent Knauf as a preferred partner, enhancing supplier performance by minimizing costs and mitigating business risks.
- Compliance Management: Uphold adherence to the Knauf Procurement Policy to meet global performance targets.
- Market Insight: Stay informed about local and national regulations and market dynamics that could influence pricing or supply.
- Sustainability Reporting: Assist in the roadmap for reporting Scope 3 Carbon Emissions within procurement and supplier management.
- Financial Reporting: Document and communicate financial savings achieved through procurement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Guidance: Lead and support colleagues and stakeholders through procurement processes of varying complexity.
- Data Analysis: Analyze diverse data sources, transforming them into clear and actionable insights.
- Project Leadership: Guide cross-functional projects to ensure optimal outcomes for the organization, clearly defining objectives and roles.
- Issue Resolution: Serve as a point of escalation for supplier or contract-related challenges.
- Negotiation: Strive for the most cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and achieving ongoing cost-saving targets.
- Contract Oversight: Manage contracts from initial discussions to conclusion, monitoring supplier performance against contractual commitments.
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate in the Regional Procurement Team, sharing best practices and fostering collaboration.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
- An understanding of broader business processes and financial tools.
