Role Overview:

We are in search of a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sales Manager to spearhead our business development initiatives in retail media ad technology and services. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in sales or business development, coupled with a profound understanding of ad tech or retail media and its key players. A well-established network of contacts within specific sectors, particularly in travel or certain geographical areas, will be highly advantageous.

You will collaborate closely with the Director of Business Development to initiate new discussions with marketing, e-commerce, retail media, and partnership teams of potential clients across the Travel sector and beyond, managing the sales cycle from start to finish. This is a unique opportunity to engage with leading retail brands globally, work alongside Platform 195's leadership, and play a pivotal role in our company's growth and success.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Over 5 years of experience in sales or business development.
  • Strong knowledge of the mar-tech, retail media, or e-commerce landscape.
  • A well-established network of contacts within leading e-commerce brands, including potential clients, partners, and influencers. Deep expertise and connections in a specific sector (especially travel) or geographical area will be highly valued.
  • Previous experience in an ad-tech/mar-tech company, media monetization solutions, or travel meta-search in a Business Development or Sales capacity.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to generating new sales leads and securing discussions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and solutions clearly and persuasively.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and results-focused, with a proven ability to work independently and excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • A curious mindset, open to feedback, and eager to learn.
  • Fluency in English (excellent writing skills required) and proficiency in additional languages (preferably French, German, or Spanish) is highly appreciated.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Senior Sales Manager in Retail Media Ad Tech at Platform 195, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Developing and implementing a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and broaden our client base in the retail media sector.
  • Identifying and prioritizing target accounts, leveraging industry knowledge and networks to establish meaningful connections with key stakeholders.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to prospects, understanding their unique business objectives and challenges to identify opportunities.
  • Managing the complete sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.
  • Collaborating closely with our product and implementation teams to create compelling sales materials, presentations, and proposals that highlight our expertise and value proposition.
  • Maintaining and updating the company CRM for effective pipeline management and activity reporting.
  • Working alongside the marketing team to craft engaging and relevant content that guides prospects through the sales funnel and captures inbound leads.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing valuable insights to inform our sales and marketing strategies.
  • Building strong relationships with industry influencers, trade associations, and relevant organizations to enhance our visibility and reputation within the clean energy and sustainability sectors.
  • Representing Platform 195 at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote our brand and establish new business partnerships.
