Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Sourcing and Procurement team. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing and negotiation strategies for manufacturing commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing sourcing and negotiation strategies for manufacturing commodities
  • Strategic cost down for chosen commodities
  • Sourcing, quoting, and pricing
  • Project managing assigned sourcing projects, including NPI
  • Working with Supplier Quality to identify and manage risks within the supply chain
  • Compiling technical quotations for new customer projects
  • Conducting regular business reviews with key suppliers to review delivery, quality, and cost performances
  • Constructing contracts for strategic suppliers
  • Overseeing stock levels for chosen commodities
  • Acting on KPI data to implement supplier improvements

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years+ buying experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Technical background by experience or qualification
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a strong presence in internal and external meetings
  • Team player with a 'can-do, will-do' attitude

Working Arrangements:

This role is advertised as remote, but you will be required to work 3 days a week in the office based on the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire borders.
