Job Title: Accident and Emergency Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nurse to take on a leadership role in our Emergency Department. As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of Nurses, providing guidance and support as needed. You will also be responsible for ensuring that care delivered to patients within the department is monitored and within expected standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of Nurses, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure that care delivered to patients within the department is monitored and within expected standards of care.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that standards of care are consistently maintained.
  • Provide expert clinical advice to ensure appropriate treatment and care is delivered to patients at all times.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Nurse with the following skills and experience:

  • Current registration with the NMC on part one or two of the register.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and its application.
  • Appropriate post-registration qualifications.
  • Significant post-registration experience within an emergency/acute environment.
  • Current experience in emergency/acute nursing.
  • Experience of mentoring/teaching junior staff/supporting preceptorship.
