About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Protective Security team at Allwyn UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the security and integrity of the National Lottery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret data sets using statistical tools to identify trends and patterns that may indicate suspicious activity.
  • Collaborate with the Intelligence and Investigation teams to understand types of activity that undermine the security and integrity of the National Lottery.
  • Develop and manage proactive monitoring reporting using centralized tools.
  • Analyze incidents and team activities for management reports, including data quality checks on the central incident database.
  • Create and maintain data dashboards, graphs, and visualizations using Business Objects and Power BI.
  • Assist the Protective Security collators with data input and output, as well as provision of system reports and operational intelligence briefs.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable attention to detail.
  • A high level of problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a varied stakeholder landscape.
  • Highly organized with the ability to self-task when issues arise.
  • Demonstrate a high level of resilience.
  • Understanding of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques in a retail setting.
  • Ability to provide insight and analysis through clear visual, written, and verbal communication at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
  • Experience or willingness to learn using centralized scripting analytical tools such as Business Objects, SAS, and SQL.
  • Good knowledge and skills of Microsoft Excel, data extraction, and manipulation.
  • Experienced and advanced user of Power BI.
  • Ability to manage own workload and multiple priorities while being an active team member.
  • Capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows.
  • Ability to carry out data quality control, validation, and linkage.
  • Experience of or willingness to be involved in Behavioural Technologies to further understand player behavior.
