We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Finance team at Wickes. The successful candidate will be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of our data and fields from source platforms that feed into our data lake, and using this knowledge to support the wider business with their data needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the business with deep dive detailed analysis relevant to their area, allowing them to make informed decisions.
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to support business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are met and data requirements are fulfilled.
  • Own the data tables management, creating and managing tables required by the business to build meaningful MI reporting.
  • Ensure data quality assurance, accuracy, and confidentiality throughout data processes and systems.
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional or industry training, including advanced SQL and data analysis.
  • 5+ years BI/data experience.
  • Expertise in BI tools and data visualization.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to translate IT into layman's terms.
  • Functional and technical understanding of Google reporting and data warehouse architecture.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and building complex queries.
  • Confident communicator capable of owning projects E2E with strong acumen for business analysis and user engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills able to explain complex data in simple terms.
  • Well-organized, flexible, and responsive to competing priorities.
