About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to join our Corporate Client Services team at Reed Accountancy. As an Audit Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading audit teams and delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Audit Teams: Plan, supervise, and execute full end-to-end audits, ensuring timely completion and meeting agreed budgets.
  • Supervise Junior Staff: Set objectives, review work, and provide on-the-job coaching to junior team members.
  • Audit Large Companies: Plan, execute, and complete audits for large companies, including identifying and delivering complex areas of audits.
  • Deliver Audit Files: Prepare and deliver complete audit files for manager review.
  • Supervise On-Site: Supervise the audit team on-site, review junior staff work, and assist with technical accounting and audit questions.
  • Identify Business Opportunities: Identify and deliver complex areas of audits, and assist with internal training courses and practice development activities.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA Qualification: Hold an ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent international chartered accounting qualification.
  • Experience Leading Audit Teams: Have experience leading audit teams, including group audits.
  • Substantive and Controls-Based Audit Testing: Be proficient in substantive and controls-based audit testing.
  • UK GAAP and Auditing Standards: Have technical competence with solid experience and understanding of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
  • IFRS Experience: Practical IFRS experience is desirable.
  • Personal Motivation and Initiative: Have a high level of personal motivation and initiative.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate teams, with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
