About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business professional to join our team as a Second in Charge of Business. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing our Business curriculum, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in their future careers.

As a leader in our department, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Department in establishing high expectations in every classroom, through strong routines, great relationships, and the impactful delivery of our curriculum. You will also contribute to the quality of learning and teaching across the academy, and have the opportunity to support our school improvement.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Business education, has a proven track record of achieving strong outcomes, and is committed to serving our diverse community in Brent. If you are a great team player with high standards of reliability, professionalism, and courteousness, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement our Business curriculum, ensuring that it is engaging, challenging, and relevant to our students' needs.
  • Support the Head of Department in establishing high expectations in every classroom, through strong routines, great relationships, and the impactful delivery of our curriculum.
  • Contribute to the quality of learning and teaching across the academy, and support our school improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues, including new staff members, to ensure that they are able to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
