Job Summary

We are seeking an Undergraduate Research Scientist to join our Preclinical Sciences Team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing experiments, conducting lab-based research, and processing data to support the development of our products.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for students working towards an undergraduate degree in Biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related subject to gain practical experience in a dynamic and innovative industrial setting. You will be working on projects that impact the business, and will have the opportunity to develop your skills in aseptic techniques, aerosol exposure, and cell culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing experiments and conducting lab-based research
  • Performing in vitro mammalian cell culture and toxicological assays
  • Processing data and conducting statistical analysis

Requirements

  • Students working towards an undergraduate degree in Biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related subject
  • Motivation to build on lab work experience, to work using aseptic techniques, and to learn aerosol exposure and cell culture skills
  • Scientific curiosity and critical thinking
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate with both specialist and non-specialist audiences
