About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Physician to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Occupational Health Physician, you will play a key role in promoting the success of our Occupational Health Service, ensuring that clients receive a quality service based on the principles of clinical governance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on occupational health and wellbeing issues to managers and staff
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and best practice
  • Work closely with other medical, professional and managerial colleagues to provide high-quality healthcare to employees and external clients
  • Contribute to the development of business plans and ensure that the Occupational Health function is positive and influential in its contribution to strategic and operational business plans
  • Provide clinical leadership and team building, ensuring that the culture of the Occupational Health department encourages each individual to take responsibility for their own continuous professional development
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise
  • On Specialist Register (Occupational Medicine) or a Specialist Registrar with CCST due within 6 months of interview date
  • MFOM or equivalent
  • Evidence of CPD and membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine
  • Experience of handling complex clinical and non-clinical incidents
  • Relevant Occupational Health experience in a large/complex organisation
  • Minimum of two years experience in NHS Occupational Health
