About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Essex County Council. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to adults with physical or mental disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assess and develop individualized care plans to meet the needs of clients, working closely with other healthcare professionals and community agencies.
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify client needs and develop strategies to promote independence.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and carers to ensure effective communication and support.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Experience of occupational therapy, modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community.
