About the Role:
TRI Consulting is seeking a number of skilled Housing Officers to join our team on a temporary basis for approximately three months in West London. As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional housing management service to residents, ensuring their needs are met and their tenancies are sustained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular communication and meetings with residents at their homes, addressing any issues they may have raised and ensuring they are resolved appropriately.
- Work creatively as an individual and part of a wider team, including the customer service centre and Asset's team, to achieve excellent results.
- Connect with tenants in their communities, offering the right support to maintain their tenancies and ensure they are happy in their homes.
- Keep promises to tenants by responding to them within agreed timescales and tasks, ensuring their safety by following safeguarding procedures and working closely with external statutory authorities.
- Manage tenancies effectively, tackling unacceptable behaviour in an open and constructive manner.
- Work with residents to offer the right support to sustain tenancies, including identifying support needs and effective partners to support tenants as they start their tenancy.
- Manage void properties to be ready for letting as quickly as possible, including specifying work orders on standard voids.
- Follow the lettings procedure to ensure an effective audit trail.
- Authorise work orders to budget and work with Asset Management colleagues to resolve complex repairs in a timely manner.
- Complete all actions required in Workwise to ensure effective rent and service charge collection and debt management.
- Account for services accurately to ensure service charges are transparent and fair to residents.
- Set service charges with support from the central service team.
- Arrange to meet residents in their homes to understand their needs and desires for the future, identifying any repairs needed in the property and ordering them as well as recording.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Housing Officer or a customer service background.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Immediate availability or on short notice.
Salary: £25.47 umbrella and £19.38 PAYE.
