About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse or Senior Learning Disability Nurse to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a clinical leader, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to residents with a range of mental and physical needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical leadership to the multi-disciplinary team, using your professional judgement to make critical decisions.
  • Assess the needs of new residents and develop individual care plans to ensure the highest standards of nursing care.
  • Support and mentor your team to deliver excellent care, including mentoring newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.

Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse with a current NMC registration and a mentor or supervision qualification.
  • Experience in delivering excellent care to residents with dementia, producing care plans, and conducting detailed risk assessments.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
