About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Mental Health Nurse or Senior Learning Disability Nurse to join our team at Barchester Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to our multi-disciplinary team
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for residents with mental and physical needs
  • Use professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions and administer medicines in line with NMC regulations
  • Support and mentor team members to deliver high standards of nursing
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse with a current NMC registration and a mentor or supervision qualification.

  • Experience of delivering excellent care to residents with dementia and producing care plans and detailed risk assessments
  • Up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines
  • Natural leadership and problem-solving skills, with experience of working with older people and acting as a clinical mentor
  • Dedicated, ambitious, and resilient, with a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care
