About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Hepatology Dietitian to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Dietetic Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and leading the development of our Hepatology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Hepatology Dietetic Team and provide clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines for Hepatology patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways for patients with liver disease.
  • Conduct audits and research to inform service development and improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to junior staff members and contribute to the development of the team.
  • Work closely with the Renal, Gastro and Hepatology Team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian with active HCPC registration.
  • Appropriate diploma/degree to Masters level, such as Masters in Advanced Dietetic Practice or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
  • Strong evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with training in specialist clinical areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in easily understood language.
  • Leadership attributes, with the ability to lead a team and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy and adaptability to use a wide range of software.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload pressures.
