About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Modeller / Commercial Manager to join our UK Transport Business as a key member of our commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing winning commercial strategies for design and build projects and design frameworks in liaison with the Bid Director and Bid Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of bid teams to develop and implement winning commercial strategies for design and build projects and design frameworks.
  • Implement financial models taking account of project risks and company commercial expectations.
  • Present commercial strategies through the organisation's governance process to gain approval from senior stakeholders.
  • Manage financial risk and opportunity across the business through both the bidding and project delivery phase.
  • Work with project managers and directors to manage commercial risk and opportunities at a project level.
  • Collaborate with the internal business finance team to ensure project-related risk is appropriately managed within project financial systems.
  • Advise teams on commercial contractual issues as needed.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with strong experience of bidding civil engineering consultancy frameworks in the transport sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract and experience working in a finance-related role. Additionally, experience supporting the successful delivery of civil engineering projects is highly desirable.
