About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hygiene Manager to join our team at Shangri-La The Shard. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene across our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive food safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, storage facilities, and equipment to ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of food safety inspections and corrective actions.
  • Train and educate staff on food safety practices and procedures to ensure a culture of excellence.
  • Investigate and address any food safety incidents or complaints in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role and capacity, with qualified training programs on hygiene and food safety controls.
  • Experience in conducting training/audit checks and handling food and hygiene standards of various types of kitchens/restaurants.
  • Strong understanding of sanitation and hygiene standards, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and employee well-being.
