Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asbestos Safety professional to join our team at Vox Network Consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the compliance agenda for the Council, ensuring statutory duties and obligations are met, and promoting a culture of safe working practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice, and guidance in relation to assets.
• Provide leadership and expertise in leading the compliance agenda for the Council.
• Conduct audits and inspections across the portfolio to ensure compliance with council policies and procedures, as well as legislation.
• Support colleagues at an operational and management level to proactively establish and maintain systems that promote a culture of safe working practices across the organisation.
• Advise the senior management team on the implications of current and emerging health and safety legislation, including evaluating options, making recommendations, and generating action plans to ensure compliance across your area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Proven experience in asbestos safety and compliance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
