Job Summary
The University for the Creative Arts is seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our Estates and Facilities department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our campus facilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Opening and locking of premises, security, fire prevention, and basic maintenance
- Supporting the University and its departments in a team environment
- Working on a regular shift pattern, including morning and afternoon shifts, as well as participating in emergency and out-of-hours on-call duties
- Providing excellent customer service to staff, students, and the public
- Working independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and be flexible in approach to work
- Good awareness of IT systems and willingness to become a trained first aid member of staff
- Enhanced DBS check required
