Job Summary
Trial Balance Consulting is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the financial health of our client, a consumer goods and project management business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including cash flow management and budgeting.
- Produce regular management information reports for senior management, including financial analysis and commentary.
- Prepare and submit statutory accounts to regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director and external business consultants to develop and implement business strategies and financial plans.
- Develop and implement digital systems and processes to support future growth and efficiency.
- Lead responsibility for cash flow management and budget setting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
- Conduct project and materials costing analysis and planning.
- Oversee payroll for a growing headcount of colleagues.
- Work with external accountants to prepare for annual audits.
Requirements
We are seeking an accomplished and commercially astute Financial Controller with recently gained experience of managing the end-to-end accounting function of a growing business. Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is highly desirable, as is prior experience of managing and developing a small finance team. The successful candidate will be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and possess a strong aptitude for strategic thinking and business growth.
