Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at Little Jannah Daycare Nursery. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the nursery, providing exceptional care and education to our children, and supporting the management team in achieving our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Manager in setting and implementing objectives and policies for the nursery.
  • Lead a team of professional workers and ensure good practice at all times.
  • Monitor and record child development, and assist with the development and implementation of systems to support this.
  • Be aware of safeguarding procedures and ensure the nursery maintains a high standard of physical and emotional care.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a childcare setting.
  • Completion of a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification, such as the Diploma for the Children & Young People's Workforce or NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
  • Completion of a Safeguarding Awareness course within the last 3 years.
  • Health & Safety and First Aid certificates (not mandatory).
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and hardworking.
  • An equivalent or higher management qualification and/or a further qualification in Childcare.
