Children's Nursery Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at EDG Nursery. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring the provision of high-quality childcare services.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Assist the Manager in leading and managing the nursery team, ensuring that all staff are supported and motivated to deliver exceptional care and education to children.
- Childcare and Education: Ensure that children receive a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care and development, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted statutory guidance.
- Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise and support staff, identifying their learning needs and advising key-staff on these, to ensure that they are equipped to provide the best possible care and education to children.
- Policy and Procedure: Assist the Manager in setting and implementing policies and procedures for the nursery, ensuring that they are compliant with statutory requirements and best practice.
- Communication and Liaison: Liaise with parents, carers, and external stakeholders, ensuring that they are informed and involved in their child's care and education.
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce Early Years qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-qualified experience working in a Preschool/Nursery setting with 0-5 year olds, demonstrating good working knowledge of the EYFS and current Ofsted statutory guidance.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff, and a strong understanding of childcare and education principles and practices.
