Join Our Team as a Senior Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Naval Ships Future Programmes team, you will have the opportunity to work on future projects with national and international customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering expertise to the development and maintenance of project requirements, including initial proposals for verification and validation details associated with the requirements.
  • Assist with the provision of engineering expertise and documentation/models across a range of associated systems engineering processes.
  • Generate bid documentation and deliverables to a high quality and within short timescales.
  • Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrably good understanding and experience of the engineering lifecycle, preferably within the Marine or Defence sector.
  • Good understanding of configuration management principles, processes and general Systems Engineering activities.
  • Working experience in Jira, Confluence, requirements management and system modelling tools such as DOORS, CATIA No Magic suite or Enterprise Architect.

As a Requirements Engineer within the Naval Ships Future Programmes team, you will have the opportunity to work on future projects with national and international customers. Leading the development and management of project requirements, their high-level verification and assisting the Subject Matter Experts to develop evidence to demonstrate to the customer that the requirements have been met. Alongside design and delivery, we are seeking involvement from you in our process investigation to become more efficient throughout the Engineering Lifecycle.
