About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant at a Secondary Special Educational Needs School in Chertsey. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the classroom to deliver high-quality education to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs (ideal but not essential).
  • A positive attitude, good work ethic, and calm and patient nature.
  • Ability to use your own initiative and get involved in supporting students.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Kind and caring towards children of all needs and abilities.
  • Valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
