Position: Independent End-Point Assessor

Role Overview: As an Independent End-Point Assessor, you will conduct comprehensive assessments for the Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Adult Nursing Support) apprenticeship program. This role is essential in ensuring that apprentices demonstrate the required Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors (KSBs) necessary for competency in their roles.

Independent End-Point Assessor Responsibilities:
- Conduct end-point assessments either on-site or remotely, adhering to agreed schedules with employers.
- Document and submit assessment outcomes, providing clear justifications for grading decisions.
- Engage in ongoing training and standardization activities to maintain assessment quality.
- Ensure compliance with Pearson's specifications and quality assurance protocols.
- Report any risks or issues encountered during assessments, including potential malpractice.
- Support Pearson in addressing any appeals from apprentices regarding assessment outcomes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment activities and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Occupational competence in the adult nursing support field.
- Registered healthcare professional or completion of a level 5 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a healthcare setting within the last two years.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Possession of a formal assessor qualification is preferred.
Skills Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to assess candidates impartially and report findings accurately.
- Technical knowledge of the healthcare sector and the role of senior healthcare support workers.
- Proficiency in using personal IT equipment and software required by Pearson.
Additional Information: Candidates must be based in the UK and possess the right to work in the country. A minimum of two working days during the week will be required for this role.
