About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Performance Specialist to join our team at Bombarbier. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct On-Site Supplier Assessments: Evaluate supplier performance, focusing on quality control and assurance aspects, to ensure products meet requirements and industry standards.
  • Quality Control Process Evaluation: Assess supplier quality control processes and procedures to guarantee product quality and adherence to industry standards.
  • Yield Performance Review: Analyze supplier yield performance, including costs due to poor quality, inspection costs, re-work percentage, and scrap percentage.
  • Quality Management Systems Review: Examine tools and systems used to log quality and non-conformance issues and finalize product dispositions.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Identify Gaps and Improvement Opportunities: Recognize areas for improvement in supplier quality management processes to ensure adherence to item specifications and enhance supplier performance.
  • Prepare Supplier Assessment Reports: Assist the team in preparing supplier assessment reports and scorecards outlining risks, issues, and mitigation steps from a quality perspective.
  • Log and Track Supplier Risks: Maintain a log of manufacturing-related supplier risks and agreed-upon corrective and improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work with team members to track and resolve recurring supplier issues and risks.
Requirements
  • Experience: More than 7 years of experience in quality management/control or product/process engineering in an industrial manufacturing environment, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge and understanding of quality systems, standards, and procedures relevant to industrial manufacturing.
  • Skills: Excellent relationship management skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to link capability assessment outcomes to business objectives.
  • Technical Skills: Strong data analysis and synthesis skills, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word) and statistical analysis software.
  • Travel Requirements: 30% travel requirements.
