We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Depot Operations Manager to lead and optimize the operations at our depot and transfer station. If ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and operator licenses is more than just a responsibility but a passion for you, this is the role where you can truly excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the coordination and management of all depot-based resources, driving improvements in operational productivity and service quality.
  • Take charge of the depot's profit and loss budget, delegating responsibilities appropriately to ensure consistent year-on-year growth.
  • Work closely with a Business Improvement Manager to maintain strong relationships with local customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service at competitive costs.
  • Set clear objectives for operational staff, monitor performance regularly, and take corrective action as needed to achieve targets.
  • Influence key decisions, implement new practices, and help define the strategic direction of the depot.

Requirements

  • Solid background as an Operations/Depot/General Manager or in a similar high-responsibility role within services or logistics.
  • Commercial acumen to thrive in a fast-paced, commercially driven, and time-sensitive environment.
  • Experience in people management and health & safety within a unionized, multi-shift environment.
  • Familiarity with the local area for effective operations.
