Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Educational Support Coordinator to join our dynamic team at SMART Education Recruitment. This role is designed to assist our established Home Tuition division in identifying and onboarding qualified tutors to serve various local authorities across the UK.

This position is perfect for individuals with a background in education, such as teachers or teaching assistants, who are looking to transition into a recruitment-focused role.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize job boards and other platforms to source candidates for home tutoring positions, catering to students who are currently out of formal education for diverse reasons.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates, ensuring that our database is current and comprehensive.
  • Identify, attract, and shortlist potential candidates to meet recruitment needs.
  • Conduct interviews and gather references for candidates, along with performing necessary pre-employment checks.
  • Source candidates for both part-time and full-time home tutoring roles.

This role is ideal for education professionals eager to enter a sales-oriented environment, leveraging their educational expertise to build rapport with prospective tutors and effectively match them with suitable positions.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Research and attract candidates through various methods to fulfill job requirements.
  • Draft, post, and update job advertisements in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor candidate applications and ensure efficient processing.
  • Qualify and present suitable candidates for defined job vacancies.
  • Conduct face-to-face and online interviews to assess candidate quality.
  • Support recruitment and selection processes by liaising effectively with candidates and internal teams.
  • Build and maintain candidate relationships.
  • Meet agreed KPIs and targets.
  • Provide administrative support to the recruitment function.
  • Understand and assist in the sales process.
  • Deliver first-line support for all inquiries.
  • Ensure candidates and clients receive a professional recruitment service.

This role is fast-paced and requires strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
