Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a local partnership Primary School. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with a range of needs, including Autism and ADHD.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1 support to students with SEND across Reception, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Assist in implementing tailored Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) within the SEND Provision
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt the National Curriculum to suit individual student needs
  • Support students with both diagnosed and undiagnosed SEND needs in a resource base within a mainstream Primary School setting
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment in line with the school's ethos

Requirements:

  • Previous UK TA experience in a school setting, particularly with SEND
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum, including Reception, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Experience working with EHCPs, IEPs, and supporting students with SEND
  • A relevant qualification in supporting learning (Level 2 or Level 3)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
