About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in the classroom to ensure the learning objectives are met
  • Assist with general classroom tasks and activities
  • Work with students with challenging behavior and ASD
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement effective learning strategies
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced learning environment
  • Desirable: experience working in Key Stage 1/ KS1 or Key Stage 2/ KS2, previous care work, and SEND experience/knowledge
