Turning Point is dedicated to assisting individuals nationwide, and we are actively seeking support specialists for our supported living facilities.

Work Environment
You will be stationed at one of our supported living facilities. This service accommodates a small group of residents, where support is provided for daily living activities, personal care, and a variety of engaging, individualized activities.

Activities may include swimming, arts and crafts, sailing, hydrotherapy, nature walks, horseback riding, and community involvement.

Shift Patterns
Your schedule will include various shifts, ranging from early morning to late evening, including sleep-ins or waking nights, with some weekend work required. Please be aware that working hours may fluctuate.


Key Responsibilities
What will your role entail? This position is hands-on, and each day will present new experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Encouraging the independence of the individuals we support
- Assisting with a comprehensive range of daily tasks, including household chores and meal preparation
- Organizing activities both within the home and in the local area
- Fostering residents' life skills and personal interests
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
- Providing assistance with personal care requirements
- Performing manual handling tasks
- Supporting medication management
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service evaluations.


The Ideal Candidate
What qualities and skills should you possess? While familiarity with learning disabilities and complex needs is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.

Essential qualities include:
- A genuine passion for care and support
- Flexibility, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude
- A collaborative team player with abundant energy
- Strong communication skills
- Capability to perform the physical demands of the role, including manual handling
- Relevant experience in assisting individuals with anxiety management
- A valid driving license is preferred.
