Financial Controller

Reed is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting systems, treasury management, and accounts payable and fundraising finance income processing.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the general ledger and ensure its accuracy and integrity
- Develop and implement internal controls, including separation of duties and compliance with prescribed systems of authorisation
- Assist in the preparation of annual accounts, in compliance with the SORP and relevant GAAP, and liaise with external and internal auditors
- Lead the preparation of the annual cash flow forecast and monthly reconciliations between forecast and actual
- Manage the purchase ledger function, ensuring the ledger is clean and at an acceptable level
- Assist with credit control and oversee the Fundraising Accountant role
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register and submit quarterly VAT returns and VAT reconciliations
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ACMA Qualified or QBE
- Previous experience in a charity or similar environment
- Well-rounded experience across transactional accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysing
- Experience assisting with leading an accounts team
- Competence with Excel
