Financial Controller

Reed is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting systems, treasury management, and accounts payable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the general ledger and internal controls
- Responsibility for prompt reconciliations of control accounts and separation of duties
- Assistance with the preparation of annual accounts, in compliance with the SORP and relevant GAAP
- Lead in the preparation of the annual cash flow forecast and monthly reconciliations between forecast and actual
- Bank reconciliations and posting of transactions
- Month-end processes and journals
- Management of the purchase ledger function and credit control
- Overseeing the Fundraising Accountant role and managing the Fixed Asset Register
Requirements:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ACMA Qualified or QBE
- Previous experience of working within a charity - Desirable
- Well-rounded experience across transactional accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysing
- Experience assisting with leading an accounts team
- Competence with Excel
