We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Chace People. As a Housekeeper for a prestigious household, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in a large, formally run household.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Daily Cleaning Duties**: Ensure all areas of the household are clean and tidy, including bedrooms, living areas, kitchens, and bathrooms.
  • **Laundry and Ironing**: Manage the laundry and ironing duties for the household, including washing, drying, and ironing clothes, linens, and other household items.
  • **Breakfast and Lunch Preparation**: Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch for the family, including cooking, cleaning, and setting the table.
  • **Housekeeping Expenditures**: Manage the household's housekeeping expenditures, including budgeting and tracking expenses.
  • **Reporting and Maintenance**: Report any necessary repairs or maintenance to the household staff and provide access to contractors as needed.
  • **Log Keeping**: Maintain a log of contractor access and monitor their activities within the property.
  • **Property Preparation**: Prepare the property to an immaculate standard before the family's arrival, including cleaning, organizing, and decorating.
  • **Security**: Ensure the property is secured at all times, including locking doors and windows and monitoring the household's security systems.
  • **Grocery Shopping**: Grocery shop for the household, including purchasing and storing food and household supplies.

Requirements:

  • **Fluent English**: Fluency in English is essential, with fluency in Portuguese being a bonus.
  • **Formal Background**: A formal background in housekeeping is required, including experience in large, formally run households.
  • **Tech-Savvy**: Tech-savvy, with knowledge of alarm systems and computer literacy.
  • **Experience**: Experience in working in large, formally run households, including laundry, packing, and unpacking.
  • **Right to Work**: Right to work in the UK.
  • **Confidentiality**: Total confidentiality and discretion are essential.

Additional Information:

The role offers a dynamic working environment in a prestigious Central West London townhouse. The position requires a Housekeeper who is used to large spaces and can work well as part of a team. While the contract is fixed-term for 12 months initially, there is potential for the role to become permanent. More will be discussed with successful applicants.
