Exclusive Household Staff is seeking a highly skilled Housekeeper for a private family residence in Central London.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our team as a Housekeeper for Maternity Cover. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe keeping and smooth running of the property, working closely with the Property Manager and other household staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be flexible with working time, and be able to respond to family requests in a timely manner. They will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the property, including antiques, fine china, and other delicate items.

The role will involve:

  • Collaborating with the Property Manager to ensure the property is kept in top condition.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills when liaising with the Property Manager, staff, and family.
  • Responding to family requests, such as ordering taxis and running errands.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the property, including laundry, windows, and floor treatments.
  • Liaising with the Property Manager regarding maintenance issues and overseeing contractors.
  • Familiarising themselves with fire systems, alarm systems, and AV systems.
  • Managing expenses for cleaning supplies and non-perishables within a budget.

When the family is in residence, the Housekeeper will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all areas of the house are maintained, including turn-up and turndown services.
  • Managing laundry to the family's preferences.
  • Liaising with the Chefs and staff to ensure the house is fully stocked.
  • Adhering to a dress code when the family is in residence.

Hours: 9.00am-5.00pm when the family is not in residence, with longer hours expected during visits. Salary: £35,000 GPA.
