About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Protection Officer to join our team at Bath and North East Somerset Council. As an Environmental Protection Officer, you will play a key role in protecting the environment and public health by investigating statutory nuisance and pollution complaints, leading on the implementation of the urban gull strategy, and working with internal and external stakeholders to provide a comprehensive service.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate statutory nuisance and pollution complaints, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
- Lead on the implementation of the urban gull strategy, working with stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to provide a comprehensive service, including liaising with residents, businesses, and other organizations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, businesses, and other organizations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental protection policies and procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a relevant qualification and/or experience in environmental protection, bird control, and/or customer service. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and to deadlines. Additionally, you will need to have a working knowledge of Environmental Protection legislation and be able to demonstrate a commitment to improving people's lives.
